Well, the holiday gift giving season is among us! If you’re anything like me, I have my nieces and nephews sending me their lists and I am budgeting to stay fiscally responsible. At the same time, people have been asking me what I want for Christmas and…
*crickets*
I couldn’t think of a single thing I wanted for weeks but now that I have had some time to think about it, this blog post shares five ideas for gifts for the crafters and makers in your life.

Gift Cards
I know, I know. Some people do not like to give gift cards as gifts because they think they are too impersonal. I totally get that but I spend so much time in JOANN, Hobby Lobby, Michael’s and other local craft shops grabbing anything from Cricut supplies, to fabric, to decorative accents for my house. Some of my craft projects even require tools, wood, and other items from Lowe’s and Home Depot. Every other day I am finding something new on Amazon. Gift cards would allow a maker in your life to get exactly what they need when they need it.
Blanks
I am slightly obsessed with mugs, tumblers, t-shirts, and canvas bags right now. If you know the maker you love is interested in personalizations and customizing items, I’m sure they would appreciate a goodie box of various blanks to test out. These strata tumblers are one of my favorites to work with.
Fun Items with Quirky Sayings
Similar to item number two, I love a shirt and a mug that says something funny and on brand for me. I saved a definition shirt on Etsy that says, “pro-craf-ti-nate: avoiding any and all adult responsibilities by working on a craft.” Another one says “my craft room is basically my entire house.” These shirts are perfect for me! Consider supporting small shops to grab something like this or even make something for your favorite crafter.
Storage Solutions
If your crafter is anything like me, I have bins of supplies that are spilling over. I have to get a handle on my organization so my supplies are easily accessible. Figure out if this is a need and consider something like a new cart with drawers or a new shelving unit with bins.
New Equipment:
As I write this post, I hope my loved ones will get the hint with this one. I have a Cricut maker and large easy press, both of which I love. However, as I get more enamored with my crafting possibilities, I am starting to explore other tools. I currently have a mini easy press on my list of must haves and I have been looking into sublimation printers, heat presses for mugs, and the coveted Glowforge. These things are pricey but if your crafter is considering growing a crafting business, figure out if these are on their wish list.
What items would you add to this?
Happy Holidays!
