Hey lovely people!
I spent the month of October away from my blog for a bit. Unfortunately I was dealing with some major anxiety attacks and while I found time to craft, I struggled to find words.
In today’s post, I’m sharing 3 life lessons I learned from my crafting adventures in efforts to inspire us all. Surprisingly, these words helped me come out of my slump so I hope you find them inspirational as well.
- Try new things! If you have something in mind that you want to try, just do it. Whether it is a craft project, starting your own blog, or taking an online course, adopt Nike’s motto.
- Failure is overrated! I am a bit of a perfectionist so I have to remind myself of this one quite often but my craft projects have taught me that it’s okay to mess us. I have learned so much from messing up. I am convinced I have learned more because I have tried more. I mess up, I learn, I move on.
- Inspiration is nice, but you still have to do the work! As a crafter, I spend a ton of time on Pinterest, Instagram, and Etsy looking for inspiration. That inspiration does me no good just sitting in the back of my mind. Things aren’t going to happen by osmosis. So, just like crafting, you can be inspired by other influencers, mentors, and future goals but you have to get busy eventually and put in the work to get what you want.
Bonus: beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. If you like it, I love it! Forget what other people think about your ideas, dreams, and desires. Do you boo!
Until next time,
Tempestt
