Thanks for stopping by!
Every since I can remember, I have wanted to be a writer. While sparing you the details of my earliest ideas for children’s books and adult fiction, I realized long ago blogging was one of the ways I could continue to do what I enjoy. That said, I’ve tried my hand at blogging before but now that I have more experience in the blogosphere, I am excited to launch Times with Tempestt as of September 2019.
I am passionate about education. With everything I do, I want there to be something in it that someone (including myself) can learn from. Hopefully you’ll find something here to be informative for you.
I am committed to building community. The beauty of social media is that it allows us to do this despite physical bounds. I intend to use this content to build, strengthen, and sustain communities, especially women. Times with Tempestt was created as a lifestyle blog to capture and connect with various audiences. A very successful blogger told me “if it’s true to where you are and what you’re working on in life, integrate it into your lifestyle blog/brand.”
Here you will find my take in various categories including faith, marriage, style and beauty, and education.
I am a wife, a dog mom, a sister, an auntie, a daughter, and a friend. I find pleasure in shopping, writing, binge watching tv, hanging out with family and friends, and napping. Seriously, is there a way to get paid as a professional napper?!
Professionally, I am an educator. I’ve taught across the spectrum from middle school to college. Currently I am a career and technical education professor. My job affords me the opportunity to write considering the requirement to publish research frequently.
My husband often calls me “squirrel” because of my attention span. The beauty in it is that because I cannot completely focus on one thing for long periods of time is that you get access to all my randomness via this blog.
